Born on August 23, 2024, at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Barong is more than just adorable—he’s a lifeline for the critically endangered Sumatran tiger species. As the first cub for his mother, Jillian, his birth is a huge step toward ensuring the survival of a population with fewer than 400 tigers left in the wild.

Barong resides at the Tull Family Tiger Trail, a habitat designed for climbing, swimming, and nurturing tiger instincts while educating visitors about their plight. Did you know Sumatran tigers are excellent swimmers? Barong’s water-loving nature is already shining through!

As part of the AZA Species Survival Plan, Barong’s birth strengthens genetic diversity, a crucial effort to protect tigers from threats like habitat loss and poaching. His playful charm is set to inspire action, from supporting sustainable palm oil to raising awareness for wildlife conservation.

Barong’s story reminds us that every small step can help save a species.

How Barong Inspired Us to Create Something Beyond Crypto

The birth of Barong was a defining moment for us. It’s not just about crypto—it’s about creating something that leaves a lasting impact on the world. His arrival sparked the vision for Barong, our project dedicated to conservation and making a real difference through blockchain. We’re bridging the gap between cryptocurrency and global causes, proving that the crypto community can drive positive change.

Just as Barong’s birth gives hope to the future of Sumatran tigers, our mission is to bring hope to the world through sustainable practices and collective action. By supporting wildlife conservation, we’re building something that goes far beyond profits—it’s about purpose.
